I’m KayDee Gilkey with the U.S. Potato Update after this.

The National Encounter of Snack Manufacturers or Canacintra is an important trade event for the Mexican snack industry to meet and share ideas and information about the snack market. The event is made up of lectures on topics impacting the snack industry and a trade show. The show is attended by owners of snack processing companies as well as R & D staff. This event will be held in Mexico City November 8-9, 2012.

Of course the United States Potato Board will be in attendance at the trade show and is encouraging US chip-stock growers to join them. Sarah Reece, USPB International Marketing Manager, shares more.

Reece: “We are asking US chip-stock growers to join us in our US Potato Board Booth. If they join us in the booth we can give them space so they ca display information about their company. This is a good opportunity for chip-stocks growers to meet manufacturers in the market that may be potential buyers for their products.”

Table space in the booth is limited, so growers need to respond quickly to ensure a place. The deadline to sign up to participate is October 8th.

Reece stresses this is a great opportunity to meet potential customers in person and utilize the USPB booth that's been developed and coordinated by the USPB Mexico representative office.

This was the U.S. Potato Update brought to you by the United States Potato Board, maximizing return on grower investment. I’m KayDee Gilkey on the Northwest Ag Information Network.
