Idaho’s late Robert “Bob” Rebholtz Sr., was one of two individuals inducted into the Cattle Feeders Hall of Fame, during a recent Cattle Feeder’s Hall of Fame Banquet in Denver, Colorado. Rebholtz, the founder and owner of Agri Beef Co., started his cattle career in 1962 by managing the 300,000 acre T Lazy S Ranch in Battle Mountain, Nevada. In 1968, Rebholtz acquired Snake River Cattle Feeders in American Falls, both going into business for himself and beginning the groundwork of Idaho’s Agri Beef Co. From then until his passing in 1997, Rebholtz was able to transform his single feedyard into an all-around company that is now comprised of multiple feedlots, a ranch, an animal supplement operation and numerous environmental operations responsible for processing waste into compost and biodiesel.  In 1982, he and his wife Dorothy were awarded Idaho’s Cattle Feeder of the Year Award, presented by the Idaho Cattle Feeder’s Association, now part of the Idaho Cattle Association (ICA).

The Cattle Feeders Hall of Fame was established in 2009 to recognize and honor outstanding, men and women in the cattle-feeding community. ICA would like to congratulate the Rebholtz family on this recent honor, as Bob Rebholtz was a true pioneer of Idaho’s cattle feeding industry.
