5-7 FB Potato Promo

 I called Frank Muir,  Executive Director of the Idaho Potato Commission to ask about  the huge semi is dragging an even huger replica of an Idaho potato around the country as a promotion. His secretary put me on hold and then Frank answered: “Hi David how are you doing? I’m fine Frank but I have a complaint. What is that? Well my uncle was driving around Kansas City, he admits to inattentive driving because he was texting, but he ran into a big truck hauling a potato. ( Laughter) Yes it is traveling around the country. I saw you on TV with the governor. Yes. How is the promotion going? It is going wonderfully. The whole idea is that we are celebrating the Idaho potato commission’s 75th  anniversary and in the process we are raising awareness for Meals on Wheels which provides over 1 million meals daily to home bound seniors that a lot of folks forget about. We thought what better way to celebrate our own success by making sure that these folks are remembered, provided the proper nutrients, and we have learned that these folks love potatoes, so what a better combination. My response to that is who doesn’t love potatoes? ( Laughter). Absolutely right.
