3-28 FB Cow Murder

The Idaho Cattle Association has a standing reward policy for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for recently shooting a cow and calf north of Eagle. “There were a Cal and a Shot north of Eagle and a couple of weeks prior to that, there were 4 cattle shot in Payette County and so when the people in our industry here about things like this, it is deeply disturbing for all producers because we are so involved and dedicated to providing animals with the best possible care. These are situations we work extremely hard to avoid. So what you have is some psychopath that is running around and it is just like murder. I guess that would be an accurate statement.”

The ICA finds such heinous actions to be greatly alarming and believes that such atrocities must be firmly dealt with. Cattle producers stand by the fact that quality beef begins with quality care; which is why they work hard to keep animals healthy, safe and secure, while protecting and preserving their natural resources and environment.  For this reason, the Idaho Cattle Association endorses the principles of good animal husbandry, responsible environmental stewardship and food safety on an ongoing basis.
