U.S. ranchers work hard every day to supply consumers with high quality beef. From the feedlot to the plate, farmers and ranchers strive to put the best product on tables around the country. That’s one reason beef rancher Mike Heaton says folks should choose the U.S. label. He also says U.S. producers follow some of the strictest safety and health guidelines in the world which is not necessarily the case when it comes to beef coming from other parts of the world. “Other countries don’t have to live up to the health standards we do.” An interesting point and Heaton elaborates by saying it's unfair and disappointing when foreign beef is imported rather than enjoying our own. He says this is an industry in which the producer and the consumer depend on one another.
