Beef Gift Certificates

I’m Greg Martin with today’s AgriBeef Minute. Last minute gifts or perhaps that forgotten gift are something we all get caught on. Peggy Biaggi with the Oregon Cattlewomen’s Association has a last minute suggestion for you, Beef Gift Certificates.
BIAGGI: They’re a check that is drawn on an Oregon Cattlewomen account and it’s just like any other check. It’s supposed to be used for the purchase of beef. It can be used at a restaurant, grocery store.
The checks say right on there that this is for the purchase of beef products and are written out just like a check. Biaggi tells us where you can get them.
BIAGGI: They are available at the Bank of Eastern Oregon in Burns. They’re available at 4 of the Northwest Farm Credit offices; the ones at Redmond, Roseburg, Central Point and Klamath Falls and this month only they are available at the campus branch of the Sterling Savings Bank in Klamath Falls.

BIAGGI: It’s easy to mail. You don’t have a whole lot of cost on your mailing and lots of times you don’t know what to get somebody and this they can always use. And if you don’t feel like using it you can donate it to the foodbank.
