The Idaho Wine Commission Proclaims Sippin' in the City a Complete Success. This was Idaho Wine Commission  spokesperson Moya Shatz a month ago:  “Sippin' in the City is targeting the 40 and under crowd because this demographic is buying wine and we want them to buy Idaho wine. Many of them don’t even know that Idaho produces wine so that is why we are targeting them. That is not to say that they are going to have their ID’s checked but this is the crowd we are focusing on.”

Well, “Sippin' in the City” was held on November 17th at The Linen Building. Over 300 people came out to break away from their typical evening routine and instead sip their way thru Idaho's best wines while tasting sweet and savory bites in the city at this great event.

Sippin' in the City's first year was a tremendous success. With twelve wineries, three food vendors and music provided by the Vinyl Preservation Society Idaho, everyone who attended had a fabulous time. There were over 25 wines to taste, that paired perfectly with the delicious food provided by Open Table Catering, freshly baked breads from Zeppole Bakery, and cheese from the Idaho Dairy Products Commission.

Sippin' in the City was designed to be a laid back, fun way of tasting wines. Participants were able to walk around and mingle while the wineries came to them for just $25. You won't want to miss it next year!
