 Take a seminar and put it on the world-wide-web and what do you come up with? A new educational tool for farmers where they can learn all kinds of information in the comfort of their own home.

 Webinars are becoming all the rage these days and it is for obvious reasons. You can bring in an expert on any subject, obviously including any aspect of agriculture, and the expert can not only give information but interact with those who attend via the Internet. Is this a great country or what?  Let’s listen in on Tereasa Waterman  from the Idaho Wheat Commission: “ We have had a great deal of success with the webinars and we are coming into the next phase of on-line media where growers can log on from their home computer, view the webinar and ask questions of the presenter and if they cannot make the scheduled time of the presentation, then we post it on our website and they can come back at their convenience and watch that webinar. We are finding that growers are really enjoying the educational opportunity because they don’t have to get into their truck and drive down to the local motel or were you would host a seminar, they can just do it from their home.”
