10-26 FB Wheat Vs. Obama
It is awfully tough trying to find positive economic news these days but you sure cannot blame our wheat farmers who are doing everything they can to stimulate the economy.
When you look at Obama and see what he is being accused of doing to the economy, and what sure looks like an inside deal with that solar panel company, Solyndra, millions spent on arms that are going to drug cartels and paid for by our own alcohol, tobacco and firearms agency, then the folks who are working the commodities side of our economy, particularly in the wheat industry, ought to get national Congressional medals of honor. We have all these foreign visitors coming through and it turns out they’re buying wheat… make that Idaho wheat. Here is executive director of the Idaho wheat commission, Blaine Jacobson: “We’ve had trade teams come in from Japan, the Philippines, Mexico, Peru, and now this team from Taiwan.” And not to be accusatory, but unlike the direction the federal government and its chief executive are taking, we are actually as wheat producers, taking orders, delivering product, and depositing checks to our accounts. Checks that don’t bounce.
