 Murder in Mexico and its relationship to the consumption of Idaho beef. Wow! It is getting crazy out there.

 I had a recent conversation with Wyatt Prescott, Executive V.P. of the Idaho Cattleman’s Association, and I have to confess that I was amazed. Here’s Wyatt: “Mexico is the largest consumer of American red beef.   They consume everything from high quality to mid grade meats. We have seen a decrease in the volume of mid level meats going into Mexico and a large part is due to the fact that a lot of those are sold in street cars, vans and buses that they sell the meat on the street and in that central region of Mexico it has been so violent and dangerous, there are a lot of speculators that project that we see the decrease  coming straight out of that area because there are not as many people out on the street buying that product.  That hits home doesn’t it? Yes it brings a whole different perspective to it.”
