A magnificent response from the farming community.

Over the last few days we have been hearing the story of multi-crop farmer Sid Freeman and his snowboarding accident which left him with broken legs, bad infections, conceivable amputations and no ability to work. So what does a farmer do when he can’t work his farm? Answer. Turn to his family and neighbors. Here is Sid: “How has this affected my farming operation? My 2 sons, 19 and 23, have unbelievably proved what kind of men they are. They have stepped up to the plate like nobody’s business and my 71-year-old father, who is right now operating a combine, because both of my boys are back in college now, he is still proving how much of a man he still is. I have just sat around and made phone calls, made arrangements, set things up, and just kept things in front of them all summer long. I could never repay the debt that I owe society right now. My community, because of the help that they have given us, without batting an eye, it’s not like they had to think about it for a second, and I would like to believe that they would expect the same from me.
