 Educational Seminar Offered to Idaho Wheat Growers. The Idaho Wheat Commission will be presenting a web-based grower education seminar (webinar).   The webinar will be approximately one hour.  Participation is simple and free!  Log onto the website at http://connect.cals.uidaho.edu/wheat and enter your name as a participant. Now is this the same as a producer walking into a meeting room and  interacting with the speaker? Here is Tereasa Waterman, spokesperson for the Idaho Wheat Commission.

So who is the presenter and what is the topic? Guest Presenter Juliet Marshall, Cereals Agronomist and Pathologist, University of Idaho, will discuss several factors that may substantially be increasing the risk of Fusarium Head Blight.  Key factors include environmental conditions, corn, and the increased aggressiveness of Fusarium Crown Rot.  Marshall will describe how these factors have contributed to the incidence and aggressiveness of the disease in irrigated winter and spring wheat production in southeast Idaho.   Juliet will also answer questions during the webinar and provide suggestions on how to help control Fusarium Head Blight.
