What is wrong with this picture. Let me set something straight. I am totally opposed to the use of marijuana under any circumstances because like alcohol, marijuana is a gateway to a social malaise from which this country cannot recover. However, there is a very versatile crop that is a distant relative to marijuana called hemp. Hemp contains virtually no THC, which means that it has no value as a drug. I’m David Sparks and we will talk about this in a minute.

 Just over Idaho’s border with Oregon, you can buy medical marijuana. There is no doubt that this drug can be justified for dying patients who are in great pain. But that is not the major recipient. So-called doctors are prescribing medical marijuana for anybody who can come up with any reason, i.e., I’m anxious, I’m depressed, I need to relax. A few facts about hemp. It produces four times the amount of paper as trees per acre. More than 30 nations worldwide grow hemp. Hemp fibers are extremely strong. And as far as hiding  marijuana in a hemp field that would result in cross-pollination and a reduction in the strength of the marijuana. Hemp doesn’t need any pesticides and finally Is the only plant that can provide food, clothing, and shelter.
