Image Gallery ready for prime time

Farm and Ranch Report May 25, 2011 Something new on uspotatoes.com is a photo gallery. David Fairbourn, manager of Industry Communications and Policy for the U.S. Potato Board, says it is a database of images available for industry use.

Fairbourn: “So that people can log on and if they like a particular beauty shot that the United States Potato Board has, or a recipe, they can include that on their packaging, or also include these pictures on their website or any other industry use that they should desire to use these for.”

Fairbourn says there is a variety of images available.

Fairbourn: “Well you will see anything field shots, harvest shots, planting to more consumer oriented type work with pictures of recipes and beauty shots of potatoes that are available.”

Again, here is where you will find them.

Fairbourn: “They will find these pictures at an image gallery at www.uspotatoes.com

The potato industry can use the pictures royalty free. Fairbourn does say it would be appreciated that those who use the images give a photo credit to the United States Potato Board. Also, images will be continually added to the gallery so check back from time to time.

That’s the U.S. Potato Update. Brought to you by the United States Potato Board, maximizing return on grower investment. I’m Bob Hoff for Northwest Aginfo Net.
