4-8 IAN Level Combine
Imagine combining a crop…any crop on steep hillside terrain. Your route isn’t up and down the hilly land but back and forth. So you’re sitting on a severe slant like an airplane on a steep bank. That can’t be too comfortable so along came a company appropriatelty named Hillco Technologies which levels a slanted combine in such a way as the operator is now sitting even. Pretty cool, eh? Hillco Technologies specializes in developing and manufacturing after-market performance improvement products for large combines. Among the numerous after-market products that they produce their leveling systems stand out. In the early 90's, Hillco developed the first after-market, bolt-on, combine leveling system which has become the standard for converting level land combines to leveling combines. Spokesperson Polley McLeod says they can retrofit new or used combines from all the manufacturers. “Installed after market John Deere, Case, it’s not economically feasible for John Deere, Case or major combine manufacturers to make these leveling systems.”
