Meetings Around the State. I’m Greg Martin with today’s Fruit Grower Report

January is meeting time for the tree fruit industry in the northwest. A number of organizations are planning get togethers in that you just night want to be a part of.

There are several North Central Washington traditional "Horticultural Days" with topics covering subjects vital to your tree fruit business. Most of the fruit horticultural days are free of charge, as expenses are covered by the Chelan High School FFA, NCW Fieldmans' Association, the Pear Bureau NW and the Washington Fruit Commission. All of these meetings will take place at the Wenatchee Convention Center in Wenatchee, WA from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. There will be a trade show at all of the horticulture days and pesticide education certification credits may be awarded for attending.

North Central Washington Apple Day is going on today.

North Central Washington Pear Day is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, January 19.

North Central WA Stone Fruit Day is set for Thursday, January 20.

For more information, call the WSU Chelan County Extension at 509-667-6540.
