There’s snow in them thar hills and more is coming. I’m DS

Great news for farmers as it relates to water supply. The press release read like this:The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service will measure the snow at Mores Creek Summit near Idaho City.  Interested personnel are invited to accompany us to the site to learn more about how we measure the mountainous snowpack. Dress for the weather, and bring snowshoes if you have them.  We have extra snowshoes, but need to have an idea as to how many to bring. Well guess what. Ron Abramovich of the Natural Resources Conservation Service said that currently, the Boise Basin snowpack is 112% of average, which is above average and good, with more storms predicted. Here’s Ron: “We have some reservoir carry over this year and we’ve got some snow in the mountains already and we’re above average for January 1st. On January 1 we’re only 40 % of the way through the winter. It’s good news all around.”
