71st annual meeting of the Idaho Farm Bureau happening this week. I’m DS…
This week is incredibly important to farmers according to Idaho Farm Bureau spokesman Jake Putnam: “The annual meeting of the Farm Bureau happens this first week of December, it’s been going on since 1939, Idaho farmers get together after the harvest, they discuss policies that will affect the state’s ag interests over the coming year. It’s an interesting time because delegates from all the counties in the state gather and the representatives from farmers from everything from potatoe farmers to onions, alfalfa, wheat, beets, dairy…everyone you can imagine, cattlemen, they all get together and discuss their common interests and then they put all those interests in a policy book and that policy book stands as the official policy book of the Idaho Farm Bureau and everyone knows exactly where we stand on every issue.”
