7-2 FB Skeptical Beekeeper

 There’s a skeptic amongst us and he’s a beekeeper.

 Golden Bee, Inc. is owned and operated by Golden and Jonathan Millet. Jonathan Millet was born in March of 1980 and was immediately brought into the family business named Golden Bee, Inc. located in Marsing. In 2004, he spent a year in Hawaii to learn the art of queen breeding in order to produce queen bees commercially. The Millets continue to keep their warehouse and daily operation on 17 acres located about one mile from the Snake River.

 Like all commercial beekeepers, Golden Bee, Inc. faces the challenge presented by colony collapse disorder, a topic I have covered a lot. Listen to a conversation I recently had with Johnathon. “I just wanted to find out from a local beekeeper what was going on. I’d love it if things would turn around and it was easier to keep bees alive. Well apparently U. of I. is working hard on it and WSU is working hard on this. Researchers have never solved a problem in the practical world in the last century but they might now, you never know.
