11/07/08 Watch the mail for info on Washington potato show

Farm and Ranch November 7, 2008 The 2009 Washington State Potato Conference and Trade Show is just a little over two months away. And Karen Bonaudi, a member of the conference board, says they are pleased with the way things are shaping up for the event, which will be January 26th through the 28th at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick. Bonaudi: "We are sending out next week the information packets to growers, the industry, to media, to everyone who has been included in the conference mailing before, about the conference. The different sessions and who the speakers are for the general sessions. And then the special sessions like the Spanish session and the Potato Cultivar Workshop. So, we are really pleased." There is pre-registration required for the ladies program and the Potato Conference Banquet but Bonaudi says for the conference itself there is no pre-registration. Bonaudi: "They just have to show up and pay their $5 at the door and they get to take advantage of all the general sessions, the food and the trade show." The trade show will have 107 exhibitors with displays both inside and out. So, watch the mail for the packet of information and remember the 2009 Washington State Potato Conference and Trade is in January, the 26th through the 28th, and it is in the Tri-Cities at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick.
