04/18/08 No seat left on wine-bus tour

Hop on the bus, Gus. You don't need to discuss much. Just sit back and get yourself free on the first Snake River Cuisine Tour. Businesswoman Patty Johnson says her tour bus seats for the southwest Idaho wine country tomorrow are all filled. JOHNSON "And then we've signed up of course a whole group of wineries to participate with us as we book tours." Centered mostly in Canyon and Ada counties the Saturday public tours also include stops at a Nampa market, a gourmet lunch, cooking demonstrations, local producer markets and herb gardens. Johnson says she's planning custom tours by adding restaurants and other allied partners such as agricultural producers. JOHNSON "We think food and wine go together obviously very well." Johnson is taking reservations for May 3rd, 10th and 31st tours as well as June 14th and 28th. Johnson hopes to link up with convention and conference groups or with people coming to the Treasure Valley for athletic events. If you're interested in more information the Snake River Cuisine Tour website is www.srctours.com or call Johnson at 321-2550. Voice of Idaho Agriculture Bill Scott
