It's a great culinary partnership, savory grilled beef topped with cheese. Now two new summertime promotions funded by the beef checkoff and the Wisconsin milk marketing board are aimed at encouraging consumers to match the pair of food favorites. Dairy producer Jenny Senn serves on the Beef Board.
SENN -"Dairy producers are also beef producers. And the co-promotions are an excellent example of how dairy producers' investment in the beef checkoff is used to cross-promote both the beef and dairy products. It's truly a win-win situation for dairy producers."
The Father's Day Favorites promotion earlier reached more than 35 million consumers and included an offer for a beef grilling cookbook. Up next is the Bold Flavors of Summer promotion at the peak of the grilling season.
SENN "And I think that's going to be a wonderful promotion and hopefully that will not only spur consumers to buy more beef , but also to buy and pair it with cheese."
Senn says she's been impressed during her time on the beef board by the ways in which the checkoff program works to help promote and build demand for dairy producers' beef and dairy products.
