Pony Transportation
Horse transportation has sure changed over the years. I'm Jeff Keane; I'll be back in one minute to show you how. Years ago, but in my lifetime, a neighbor spent a few years in the hobby of horse-trading. Sam liked to have horses that would suit anyone's fancy, so when he saw the young Shelton ponies at the Friday horse auction, he couldn't resist taking them home. Sam expertly out bid the crowd and still left himself room for a nice mark-up and profit on the ponies. The little fellers were loaded into his rig and Sam was headed for home. Bidding always made Sam thirsty so he stopped at the first waterhole for lemonade. Well, one lemonade led to another and another and afternoon turned into evening. The lemonade just kept flowing and everyone was having quite a time until a honking horn started interrupting serious political discussions and some great jokes. Pretty soon the honking became so constant the waterhole crowd emptied out to see what the problem was. The honking was coming from Sam's rig actually Sam's car that's right Same didn't have a truck the day he bought the small ponies so he just loaded them in his car. The ponies were racing between the front and backseats and honking the horn to start every new race. Now you might say, too bad Sam didn't have a nice horse trailer like the new models we see today, but you know those ponies had their choice of front or back seats, nice windows, a heater if they needed it and those cushion seats were comfy whether standing or lying down. Now that's first class travel. I'm Jeff Keane.
