America’s largest farmer-led, farmer-focused event, Commodity Classic, is officially underway in San Antonio, Texas.

This week, farmers from across the country are discussing the issues that matter most to Farm Country. One of the top topics is the Farmer Bridge Assistance Program, with sign-ups for payments having begun on Monday.

Idaho farmer Jamie Kress, the newly elected President of the National Association of Wheat Growers, says this program is an important lifeline for America’s wheat farmers. She also emphasizes the urgent need for a new farm bill—one that supports wheat exports, rewards farmers for producing high-quality crops, and strengthens the financial future of the industry.
