“I will tell you one very exciting thing that we have is that we are launching this week, our leadership sorghum class seven applications. And so that application period is going to be open for several months, kind of trying to span growing seasons when growers in the sort of diverse areas that we grow sorghum in, are able to sit down and really talk about whether they want to be in leadership sorghum, if they have the time to do that if they want to make that investment of time.”

Spanning 14 months. This program showcases the sorghum checkoff initiatives and illustrates how producers dollars are invested in the sorghum industry. The program offers class sessions covering various facets such as production, public and private research, leadership, exports and more.

“And the wonderful producer leadership that the sorghum industry is blessed with is one of the highlights of our industry.”
