WSTFA Speakers Pt 1
From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson with today’s Fruit Grower Report. If you plan to attend next week’s Washington State Tree Fruit Association’s Annual Meeting and Hort Expo, you can hear from speakers with plenty of industry knowledge. The keynote speaker for opening day is David Magaña, a senior analyst at RaboResearch, who specializes in consumer trends in fresh fruit and vegetable markets …
MAGANA … “The title of the presentation is going to be somewhere in the area of economic forces shaping the future of the tree fruit industry.”
And, Magaña says, as the title suggest …
MAGANA … “I will be touching on everything macrotrends, starting from macroeconomics. Obviously, we as an industry have been facing formidable challenges on the supply side such as water constraints, regulatory constraints, labor and logistical constraints just to name a few.”
Magaña says global demand is expected to increase in the next few years in markets like the Asian Pacific…
MAGANA … “So, I will be also touching on some interesting data that we have on how consumers have been adapting their consumption patterns in these inflationary environments.”
Tune in tomorrow for who this year’s Batjer speaker will be.
