From the Ag Information Network, I’m Bob Larson. If you were once a member OR you’re simply someone who likes the idea of supporting agricultures next generation, Washington FFA is looking for volunteers.

Executive Director, Dany Payne says they’re needed for the upcoming annual convention …

PAYNE … “We are having the 93rd Washington FFA Convention and Expo, May 11-13. And we’re going to be in Kennewick, Washington this year at Three-Rivers Convention Center.”

The volunteers, Paynes says will help broaden the connection between FFA and the ag community …

PAYNE … “Really as an association through our FFA Advisors and through our state staff are really looking to strengthen our partnerships within the agricultural industry, increase those connections. One of the ways we’re working to do that is by recruiting judges for our annual state convention.”

Payne says they need judges for Prepared Public Speaking, Marketing Plans, and Agricultural Issues …

PAYNE … “So, really just looking for judges for these contests. It’s a fantastic way for those who were maybe previously in FFA or just industry supporters of FFA to witness firsthand the awesome skills that FFA provides our students. And then, additionally, increases networking opportunities for both folks in the industry as well as our FFA members.”
