**The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association applauded the Black Vulture Relief Act, introduced by Representatives John Rose of Tennessee and Florida’s Darren Soto.

Black Vulture depredation rates have recently increased in the Southeast, surpassing 30% in some states like Florida.

The bill would allow cattle producers to “take” black vultures that pose a risk to livestock and reduces permitting burdens.

Florida Cattlemen’s Association Vice President Jim Handley says, we appreciate this commonsense bill.
