WSTFA President Jon DeVaney says their pretty excited …
DeVANEY … “This is something that we’ve been thinking about for a while. There are a lot of issues facing our industry and that we want to keep our growers, packers and marketers fully up to speed on. We also want to make sure that what’s going on in our industry is understood by the broader community of local residents, policy makers and anyone interested in what’s going on in the tree fruit industry.”
In a format, DeVaney says that should be a great way to stay informed …
DeVANEY … “That’s a good way to absorb really large amounts of detailed information, but if you just want the quick summary of what’s going on, an electronic or recorded
format really can work a lot better for them.”
And in today’s high-tech world, DeVaney says super
convenient …
DeVANEY … “A lot of our growers and packers and all of their employees tend to do a lot of business from the road. If you’re driving from one orchard to another, sitting down to read a memo is probably not in the cards. You really want to be able to have something you can listen to and interact with from wherever you happen to be.”
