Rick Keller retires

After 41 years of service to the state’s largest general farm organization, Idaho Farm Bureau Federation CEO Rick Keller will retire at the end of June.

Keller, 65, announced his retirement to staff earlier this month. He has served as CEO and executive vice president of IFBF for the past 21 years.

 

Total IFBF membership increased during 39 of the 41 years Keller served the organization. Idaho Farm Bureau Federation now represents 80,635 member families in Idaho, including 14,000 that are involved with the state’s agricultural industry.

But even though Rick is heading into the corral, he hasn’t stopped his relentless contributions. He recently participated in the donation and distribution of potatoes from Southern Idaho to food banks in Coeur d’Alene packing 50-pound bags of spuds. "Farm Bureau is a great organization. There's nothing but service from the Bureau and provides help to others. This is a great opportunity to distribute to those that have and give it to those that don't. At the same time help those that may have potatoes but the income isn't there for them. We can help move and distribute the potatoes. We sure appreciate all the donations from the farmers and ranchers." What a great blessing this is.”
