“I’m Mason Hall from Meridian FFA, from retirement.Amy from Meridian FFA. Aubrey from Meridian FFA, Phillip from the Meridian FFA chapter.” Future Farmers of America and Idaho's biggest booster gathered in Nampa because it was one of the biggest days of the year for the organization.“Our first prize winner is Hal Harris. And it was sold from the Middleton chapter. We have raised an astounding five hundred and fifty four thousand five hundred and ninety dollars from businesses and citizens from all corners of our great state. Three hundred and forty five thousand four hundred and eighty dollars is directly from FFA members selling tickets.” Governor Brad Little: “And it's also the fact that they learned to work in teams and do the things they do. If you didn't have FFA and you look to where Idaho was, you'd say, let's invent FFA.”

Ten years ago, FFA alum Sid Freeman dreamed up the raffle as a way to raise scholarship money for college bound FFA students. “Our goal was to get enough people put together to restore that first 1940 farmall H that we had and raffle it off, do a statewide raffle. And that was our goal. We had no thought beyond that until people started donating tractors to keep this thing going. And then more sponsors wanted in on this and to help us out. And it's just it's it's it's just an absolute pleasure to have been in the right place at the right time.” and we’re going to have the governor and our FFA students unveil our new prize. Next year's FFA raffle was unveiled with help from the governor. Ticket sales forthcoming.
