**A second Senate resolution for “Mandatory Country-of-Origin Labeling” was introduced last week, but R-CALF USA CEO Bill Bullard is disappointed it’s taking so long.

Bullard says while American cattle ranchers have been denied access to their own markets for several weeks, we continue importing tens of thousands of cattle into the U.S. each week from Canada and Mexico.

And, he says this beef is then deceptively sold to American consumers as if it was home grown.

**People who grow and sell fresh produce say they expect markets to stay unusually volatile for months, though they indicate they've seen some stabilization.

The head of a produce-marketing cooperative says sales volumes have risen to more than half of average, after plummeting due to restrictions on restaurants and other food-service buyers.

Vegetable farmers will likely adjust planting plans to try to bring supplies back in line with demand.

**The USDA is reporting sales of 396,000 metric tons of soybeans to China as the forecast for U.S. exports this year continues to rise on increasing Chinese demand.

According to agri-pulse.com, the latest USDA daily report shows half of the latest export sales is for 2019-20 delivery and half is for the upcoming marketing year that begins September 1.

Meanwhile, USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service is raising its forecasts for both overall U.S. soybean exports and Chinese imports.
