This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for Nov. 21st. Trade slow over the previous week in the cattle industry as we take a look at an overall recap with Greg Sanders with the USDA.

Sanders "National slaughter cattle review for Thursday November 17th, 2016. On Thursday, negotiated cash trade was mostly limited on light to moderate demand in all feeding regions. However, not enough sales in any feeding region for an adequate market test. The latest established market was on Wednesday with live sales in the Texas Panhandle at $1.09. In Kansas live sales sold from $1.08- $1.09. In Nebraska live sales sold from $1.08 to $1.10, with dress sales at $1.70. Live sales in the Western Corn Belt sold from $1.07 to $1.08 with dress sales at $1.70."

Chicago May Wheat prices closed the day up 5 ¾, at 438 ½. May corn ended the day up 3 ½, at 360 ¾. Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for March ended the day unch to up 5 ¼, ranging from 4-65 to 4-90 ¼. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for March were up 5 ¼, ranging from 5-06 to 5-21. DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for March were up 2, ranging from 6-26 ½ to 6-44 ½. April Live Cattle closed last week dn 7 ½ cents, at 109. March Feeder cattle were dn 25 cents, at 121.10. Jan. class III milk was up 20 cents at 16-33.
