CHRIS BENEDICT-SFG-1 = 22 sec ... "So it's the Washington Small Fruit Conference. It's the largest agricultural trade show in Western Washington. We get north of 450 producers, agricultural industry support personnel, vendors, and regional folks from all over the Pacific Northwest that are researchers, extension people, etcetera. And so it's a pretty wide and varying audience."

WSU Extension Specialist Chris Benedict says the three day event will be held at the Northwest Washington Fairground in Lynden and will cover things like production and efficiency of the agricultural crops and processes.

CHRIS BENEDICT-SFG-3 = 24 sec ... "The first day is November 30th, begins at 8 in the morning. And we have the Washington Blueberry Commission meeting, annual meeting that's held there. Everything from export market updates to tonnage are updated there. That evening we have a social hour. A lot of people love that, attend that. It's a big hit. Then Thursday we have the Washington Red Raspberry Commission in the morning."

Benedict says there will also be a lot of scientists and ag vendors covering topics on the latest techniques that have evolved and what the future of this industry looks like.

Learn about topics including the management of pests, Fruit Disease and Biology, Soilborne Diseases, Weeds, Insecticide/Miticide Decline Evaluation, Nutrients, Pollination, Worker Safety, and more.
