Remember the story about Walter James Palmer, a dentist from Eden Prairie, Minn., who paid at least $50,000 to track and kill Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe? No matter what side of the fence you sit on with regards to hunting, I don't believe Palmer gained a lot of fans or new patients for that huge blunder. Well, I got a news release about a production four years in the making which was designed to be a final push to spread its message to the world. KING OF BEASTS: THE STORY OF LION TROPHY HUNTING. The documentary was produced by award-winning directors Nadav Harel and Tomer Almagor, They explore the motivation and fascination behind the highly controversial industry of lion trophy hunting and the environment and economies in which hunters pursue their ultimate ambition. This movie presents an American hunter’s relentless pursuit of his 14th lion trophy and unveils the inner workings of an economy whose sole sustenance is provided by such hunters. Here's an audio clip."We must try and save the lion. Our future depends on it."  I mean absolutely no disrespect for any hunter. Just telling both sides of the story.
