The other day I called Sportsmen's Warehouse looking for Al Strup because I wanted some of his excellent advice on choosing a rifle for a kid. But who did I get on the phone? Here listen. "Sportsmen's Warehouse, customer service, this is Keith, how can I help you?" I would recognize that voice anywhere. It's Keith McDowell, often heard on our show because of his fishing expertise. Keith manages the fishing department so I asked him what he was doing answering the general line. "I had to laminate some signs up here and I just happened to be walking by the phone when it rang." So I said, hey Keith it's David Sparks. "Yeah, yeah, David." How have things been going Keith? "Not too bad". So I figured while I had Keith on the phone, why not ask him if he has any spring fishing tips. His response led me to understand how sick and twisted he is. "Spring fishing tips. Let me think. All I know is that lately I have been dreaming about crappie fishing. So here is my tip. As soon as it hits about 49° to 52°, start looking for crappie to move into the shallows of your lakes. About three or four nice days in a row." I'm just kidding about being sick and twisted. Just having a little fun with a guy who loves fishing and knows everything about it.
