Hank Batte has a concept and that is to take a varietal white wine which he has identified as being a Riesling wine that has about 3% to 4% sugars blended in what he terms to be a splash blend with another white variety and he believes that that blend is going to render a good taste. He says he wants to use the term a broad stroke that is not so sweet. Batte claims that a lot of people who have researched and done offerings in a can or a cardboard box are way too sweet. He says his product is perfect for the market. But wait a minute. Wine is meant to be in bottles with corks, isn't it? I mean, sure, you can go into your local 7-11 or any convenience store for that matter, and buy boxed wine but that stuff is cheapo isn't it? I mean if you're going to make good wine then put it in a bottle. Not so fast says Batte: " We think we have identified a product that would be a good broad stroke to the market. He also think putting it in a can either 8 pounds or 12 ounce in a six-pack would capture the market. A lot of people do not drink beer and a lot of people who drink wine, want to take it boating and the glass presents a problem."
