This summer, complete with drought and raging wildfires has created a busy time for local Farm Service Agencies. FSA oversees many different programs designed to assist farmers that have incurred losses. FSA Administrator Val Dolcini says they are working to get you help.

DOLCINI: Whether it's a jump team going from one state to another to lend a hand or hiring temporary employees that might work in a county office for a period of months, if not longer. Or bringing on new staff around the nation as we've done in a variety of county and state offices. We're always trying to find a way to provide resources to our offices.

FSA administers farm commodity loan and purchase programs, farm ownership and operating loans, and the conservation reserve program. It also provides disaster assistance and administrative support to the Commodity Credit Corporation, which funds most of the commodity and export programs of the USDA.
