Wheat is Trading Higher.
Scoville: Wheat on the other hand trading higher partly because of the drought situation developing especially in France but also in other parts of Europe, also because of the drought situation that has been ongoing up in Canada. The Minneapolis market also getting some support but here Chicago has been very active after trading lower in the overnight because of the dryer weather over the weekend. Chicago September Wheat ended Monday up 5 even at 5-95. September corn ended the day down 2 cents at 4-27 even. Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein was un-changed to up 10 cents for August delivery of new crop, ranging between 6-45 and 6-95. White Club wheat of 10.5 % protein was up 5 at mostly 724 and 1/2. August New crop Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein, was up 3/4- to 5 and 3/4 ranging from 6-47 ½ to 6-72 1/2. August new crop DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were up 7 ¼, ranging from 7-61 and ¼ to 7-71 and 1/4.August live cattle were down 8 and 1/4 on Monday at 150.40. August Feeder cattle were down 6.50 at 216.80. August class III milk was down 20 cents at 16-31.
