Wheat and Corn a Bit Lower on Friday

I’m KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for November 10, 2014.
Wheat and corn both ended the day Friday a bit lower for the day as well as down on the week. USDA Grain and Livestock Reporter Greg Sanders shares last week’s regional cattle market report.
Sanders: “This week on the Northwest direct cattle we had 3,700 head trade compared to last week. Feeder cattle were $2 to $5 lower due in part to lower CME futures prices this week. Feeder steers medium frame 1s and 2s for current FOB delivery 600 to 650 pounds were $244 to $245 and those were sold in Washington and Idaho. Current delivery delivered price 850 pounds $218 to $225 and those were delivered into Idaho.”
Chicago December Wheat ended Friday down 5 and 3/4 cents at 5-14 and 1/2. December corn ended the day down 3 and 3/4 cents at 3-67 and 1/2.
Portland prices for soft white wheat were up 4 and 1/4 to 18 and 1/2 cents at mostly 6-84 and 3/4. White club wheat prices were mixed down 5 and 3/4 to up 39 and 1/4 cents at mostly 9-31 and 1/4. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices were down 9 and 3/4 cents at mostly 7-22 and 1/4. DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were down 7 and 3/4 cents at mostly 8-91 and 1/4.
December live cattle were up $1.45 on Friday at 166-80. January Feeder cattle were up $1.87 and half at 232-45. December class III milk was down 4 cents at 19-18.
