Wheat Markets End Friday Down

I’m KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for May 26, 2014.
Wheat prices were lower with corn trading slightly higher ahead of the holiday weekend. USDA Grain and Livestock Reporter Greg Sanders shares an update of last week’s regional cattle market.
Sanders: “Well, again this week the market went higher even though the futures market was lower yesterday and lower today. The first part of the week, everybody stepped out and gave a lot of money for these contracted calves for fall delivery bringing $1-96 for 6-weights up to $2 for fall delivery. And 8-weights for current delivery and for June- July delivery 800 to 860 weights are bringing $1-80 in the country and the same in the sales barns. This is a pretty active market. These feedlots remain aggressive for placement.”
