New Laser Light Show At Grand Coulee Dam

New Laser Light Show At Grand Coulee Dam

To me it always seems like Memorial Day announces the beginning of summer. Are you and your family looking for vacation ideas around the Pacific Northwest? Well Washington’s Grand Coulee Dam has a brand new laser light show that happens every night now through September.
Grand Coulee Dam Public Affairs Officer Lynne Brougher shares that after 25 years, the old show has been retired.
Brougher: “Folks will see a brand new show. The show has been completely changed. It has new narration, it’s got a new storyline, new music to it. We’ve updated the show, some of the information in the old show had become outdated and this is totally a different format and a different flavor to the show.”
Obviously the technology available has improved since the last show was created as Brougher explains
Brougher: “The laser equipment has changed dramatically. The lasers we have now are much smaller and use a lot less power than the old ones. They give us a wide range of colors. On the old system we only had four colors. On this system, we have hundreds of colors.”
So maybe you remember seeing the show as a child. Why not take your kids to see the new show and make some new memories with your family.
