New US Apple Logo

New US Apple Logo. I’m Greg Martin with today’s Fruit Grower Report.

U.S. Apple has made a change. It’s a fresh new looking logo that will be used across the industry according to Wendy Brannen, Director of Consumer Health & Public Relations of the U.S. Apple Association.

BRANNEN: The usage, of course, will be all encompassing across U.S. Apple. We will transition all of our websites, social media, anything, letterhead usage and press materials so pretty much everything. We felt like it was time for the transition and we’re pretty excited about it.

Brannen talks about how they went about creating the new look.

BRANNEN: You know one of the things we wanted to do was we wanted to have a lot of people potentially bid on the process so we did an online search. We actually used crowdSPRING which is a mechanism by where you have a lot of input from a lot of different designers. You set a bid price and you actually let them bid it out and then you pick your top choices.

You will see the logo begin cropping up everywhere.

BRANNEN: Anywhere from when we approach policy makers to interacting with media we’ll encompass this new brand identity. The new logo, the new look, just a little something that a little more modern. Something that we feel like actually plays a lot better on a lot of different platforms. One of things that we ran into with the old logo, we’ve had new media emerge so ten years ago we weren’t all playing around on Pinterest, we weren’t doing Facebook.
