12-11 SS Duck Calls

I called Ben Doherty at Sportsman's Warehouse after having a long conversation with my old buddy Dennis Anderson who is living the dream. He is in Pierre, South Dakota on a farm that borders Lake Owyhee calling in ducks and boy is he having fun. So I vicariously joined him when I called Ben and asked him to talk about duck calls. "I have been pretty impressed with Buck Gardner and the nice thing about him is he makes your poly calls which are your less expensive plastic calls and you can get into them from $15-$40, and he also makes a whole bunch of acrylic calls so the difference between poly and acrylic is the sound you get off of it. Usually your poly calls are the less expensive calls and your acrylic calls are going to be more expensive. Supposedly you get a little bit better ring off your acrylic calls and that is why they are more expensive and when I say more expensive you can pay anywhere from $70 all the way up to hundred and $50-$200 for an acrylic call.
