Wheat Down Slightly on No News

I'm KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for October 10, 2013. ?

The market was trading near unchanged on the session into the mid-day as the break below Tuesday's lows early Wednesday morning failed to attract new selling interest. Traders also see a warmer and drier trend for winter wheat plantings in the Black Sea region as a potentially bearish force. From the floor of the CME Group, Todd Horwitz shares his observations of Wednesday's markets.

Horwitz: "Wednesday's grain market was pretty much mixed, all nearly around unchanged -- as corn and soybeans were higher, wheat was a little bit lower. But the truth of the story is there really is no volume or interest. There is not even the report that was suppose to be out on Friday will be put out. So what is happening is volume is drying up, volatility is drying up and basically traders are doing not a heck of a lot. But for now you have to be really careful in here because with lack of news and lack of lack of information and lack of any volatility --- there really isn't much to do. So the real recommendation is to watch it out like all the traders are doing here."
