Celebrating Idaho Agriculture at the U of Idaho

Hey all of you University of Idaho Vandal ag graduates, this Friday and Saturday -- October 4 and 5 you’re going to want to be in Moscow for U of I’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Celebrating Idaho Agriculture event.

There will be something for all alumni, students and friends as College of Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni and Donor Relations Coordinator Carly Raska shares more details on Friday evening events.

Raska: “We’re starting off the whole weekend of celebrating Idaho’s agriculture with a couple events on Friday. The first one is at 4 p.m. the Tomatoland in Potatoland Panel Discussion. The required freshman read for this year on the U of I campus was the book Tomatoland by author Barry Estabrook. We’ve invited him to be part of celebrating Idaho Agriculture weekend by creating a discussion panel. It will be the author accompanied by four other executives from the Idaho ag industry. Moderating that panel will be Dean John Foltz, of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. So that is going to be some exciting conversation.”

Following the panel will be a kick off dinner as Raska shares.

Raska: “That is happening at 6 p.m. It’s going to be a little bit of programing, live entertainment and all of the beef for the evening’s dinner was donated by AgriBeef.”

Saturday’s activities in addition to the football game against Fresno State will be a lot of fun for the whole family featuring and celebrating Idaho’s agriculture.
