Grape Society Meeting

Grape Society Meeting

Grape Society Meeting. I’m Greg Martin with today’s Fruit Grower Report.

The Washington State Grape Societies annual meeting is coming up and will help educate attendees. The Ag Information Network’s Lacy Gray has more.

GRAY: For over 40 years, scientists from WSU IAREC, Prosser and other institutions of higher learning from across Washington State and the Pacific Northwest have partnered with Washington State Grape Society to present thought-provoking information. Grower use of these efficiencies can reduce production costs, increase yields and obtain higher quality. Improving knowledge from within the grape industry is key to the mission of the Grape Society. Five pest control credits, approved by Washington State Department of Agriculture, will be offered when attending both days. The Annual Meeting offers two days of technical topics to assist grape growers in improving farming performance by practical application through scientific research.

Thanks Lacy. The meeting is planned for November 15-16, 2012 in Grandview. In addition to the meeting there will be exhibitors as well. College students registered in viticulture, enology or horticulture course work may attend for a $10 charge. To register or for more information visit their website at www.grapesociety.org.
