Commission to discuss wolf plan in Spokane

Commission to discuss wolf plan in Spokane

Washington Ag Today October 27, 2011 A Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission work session on a proposed Wolf Conservation and Management Plan is being held next Thursday, November 3rd in Spokane. That session will be held at the Ramada Spokane Airport Hotel in Spokane.

The November 3rd work session begins at nine a.m. at which time the Commission will resume its discussion on the wolf plant recommended by the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Public comments will be accepted during the afternoon portion of the meeting. The recommended plan is designed to guide state management efforts as wolves re-establish a sustainable breeding population in the state. The Commission is expected to take action on the plan in December.

Now this from Stockland Livestock.

This is Jack McQuinness at Stockland Livestock in Davenport. Right t 17-hundred head of cattle on our sale here Monday. Cows and bulls fully steady. Maybe a tick better on some of these better higher yielding cows. Some of those cows into the low 60s and some new interest in the younger feeding cows. Bulls about steady. Most of that trade in the 65 to 70 range. Feeder cattle fully steady on all weights and classes. Good market value-added packages, preconditioning and no implants becoming a bigger factor. Don’t forget our big stock cow and bred heifer sale coming up on November 5th. Saturday November 5th.

Thanks Jack.
