Buchholz to keynote two-state Potato Conference

Farm and Ranch October 23, 2009 The keynote speaker for the 1st Annual Washington-Oregon Potato Conference has been selected. Karen Bonaudi, assistant executive director of the Washington State Potato Commission and conference board member, has the details on the man the Associated Press says “lights up economics with a wickedly sparkling wit.”

Bonaudi: “Well we are really excited to be working with Oregon for the first time with a joint conference going on and part of the celebration of that is we have hired ourselves a really dynamic speaker. He is Todd Buchholz and he is an entrepreneur, an author, an educator and a former White House economic policy advisor. He is really a dynamic person. His keynote address is called “New Ideas from Dead CEOs.” The keynote address is on Wednesday, January 27th at 11 a.m.”

Buchholz’s talents extend beyond economics.

Bonaudi: “Another interesting thing about him is that Todd Buchholz holds several engineering and design patents and he is also the co-producer of the Broadway hit Jersey Boys.”

The first joint Washington-Oregon Potato Conference takes place January 26th through the 28th 2010 at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick.
