Brunch Part 4

Brunch Part 4

Welcome to Vine to Wine this is your host Linda Moran and as many of you know my new favorite wine is usually the wine that is in my glass at the time. You see I just don’t waste my time drinking wine that I don’t like. Lately I have been exploring Brunch wines and today I want to share some of my new favorites.
Okay so most of us think Bloody Mary or Mimosa when we are designing a Brunch menu but I think there are some wines that can stand on their own and do not need to mix. One of those wine is Di SteFano Moscato it is an Italian wine that is slightly frizzante not too much bubbles and very low in alcohol. It is sweet but it goes well with fresh fruit topped with yogurt and whipped cream. Then there is Bernard Griffin Rose’ of Sangiovese now that is great with a frittata, roasted potatoes and sausages. The combinations are sublime. Each flavor creates a new and very pleasant pairing with the wine all very different. To me Brunch faire is also very conducive to fruitier styles of Pinot Gris such as the one made by Chateau Ste Michele. Come on, you don’t have to give up the bubbly entirely just think about trying other interesting combinations. Remember to send your wine questions to Linda at Vine to Wine dot net and thanks for joining me on today’s Vine to Wine.
